Freedom and Justice Party Urges All for Peaceful Action to Continue January 25 Revolution
Despite the putschist regime’s brutal repression and persecution, the Muslim Brotherhood’s political wing, the FJP, reaffirms its commitment to peaceful protest, denouncing new anti-demonstration law, and reaching out to all honorable Egyptians, for more nonviolent action.

Hussein Ibrahim, Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Secretary-General, called on all the patriotic people of Egypt to join peaceful action in order to protect the gains of the January 25 (2011) Revolution.

In a press statement posted on his official Facebook page, Ibrahim said: "The FJP extends its hands of cooperation to all for peaceful action to protect the gains of the January 25 Revolution", in reference to the start of escalation of peaceful protests in the Egyptian streets.

In its first reaction to the new ‘Protest Law’, the FJP criticized approval of the confiscation of the people's rights.

"In the January 25 Revolution, the Egyptian people reclaimed their right to peaceful assembly and protest. Certainly, it is not surprising that the coup’s military-appointed government passes a law that removes this right from the people.

"We are confident that the people will never abandon this right."
