In a press statement, Ahmed Baqri, vice-president of the Egyptian Student Union, said the coup regime failed to quell university students or muzzle their mouths. He added that all political coalitions and groups within the universities have unanimously agreed that the military junta is committing genocide of students' thought and freedom in Egyptian universities.
"In the past week alone, more than 70 students were expelled from Azhar university, including 25 from the Faculty of Medicine.
"This is the generation that came out in the face of tyrants in the January 2013 Revolution. The coup regime fears this generation. This is why the junta faces students with brutal force. But no weapon can break the youth's will."
