The association of the new Minya Liman prison detainees' families revealed that the special Cbroke into cell No. 8, ward No. 3, and stripped the detainees of their clothes, food and medicines, after brutally assaulting them with sticks and batons resulting in serious injuries. Political detainees face deliberate murder by the head of the prison investigations unit, Ahmed Gamil, and his assistants, for refusing to allow  criminal prisoners with them inside the cell.

The association said in a statement recently that the Interior Ministry officials of at the new Minya Liman prison not only brutally assaulted and injure their loved ones, but also hid three detainees forcibly after being tortured, namely: Abu Al Magd Abd Al Nasser, Ahmed Alaa'eddin, and Saad Ta'ema, while Five others, Sabri Salah, Muhammad al Gendi, Nasser Mohammed, and two others, were subjected to systematic torture.

The Association called on international public opinion, in addition to local and international human rights and legal organizations, to quickly intervene to stop these blatant violations against their detained relatives, which contradict all charters and conventions; and to initiate criminal proceedings against the perpetrators of murders and attempted murders, especially Ahmed Gamil the head of the prison investigations unit. The families consider Gamil, the prison warden, the head of the prisons service, and the Interior Minister fully responsible for the lives and safety of their detainee relatives.
